How it works

This stopwatch uses high-resolution browser timing to track elapsed time with hundredth-second precision. You can start, stop, restart, and record lap splits in one view.

Record as many laps as you need. Each lap shows its split and cumulative total, and the list scrolls as it grows. Nothing is copied to your clipboard until you click Copy Laps. Your data stays local and never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Does the timer stay accurate if I switch tabs or lock my phone?

Yes. Elapsed time is measured from a high-resolution timestamp rather than by counting frames, so the reading is correct when you return. The on-screen number may pause updating while the tab is in the background, then jump to the right value once it is visible again.

What is the difference between the total and split shown for each lap?

Total is the cumulative time since you started the stopwatch. Split is the time between that lap and the previous one, so it measures how long that single segment took.

Are my laps saved if I refresh or close the page?

No. The timer and lap list live only in the page's memory, so refreshing, closing the tab, or restarting the stopwatch clears them. Use Copy Laps first if you want to keep the results.

What does Copy Laps place on my clipboard?

It copies plain text with one line per lap, each showing the lap number, cumulative total, and split time in minutes:seconds.hundredths. You can paste it into any notes app or spreadsheet.
