This decision wheel uses the Web Crypto API for cryptographically secure randomness when determining spin force. Add any number of choices, and the wheel draws equal-sized colored segments for each option. The spin animation uses requestAnimationFrame with natural deceleration for a realistic feel.
Everything runs locally in your browser. No data is sent to a server, no results are stored, and there is no tracking of any kind.
No. The winning choice is drawn first with an unbiased Web Crypto integer, and the animation is then set to land on that segment. Spin length and speed are purely visual, so every choice has exactly equal odds no matter what.
Yes. Each non-empty line is its own equal slice, so listing a choice on two lines gives it two slices and double the chance. Blank lines and leading or trailing spaces are ignored.
Labels longer than 14 characters are trimmed with an ellipsis so they stay readable inside the segment, and the on-wheel text shrinks as you add more choices. The full text is always kept in the list, and the winning choice is announced in full below the wheel.
There is no fixed cap. The wheel redraws for any number of entries, though very long lists make each slice thin and the labels small, so a couple dozen choices is the practical sweet spot for legibility.
