Changelog
What is new on Clean.tools, most recent first. Visible maintenance is the point: these tools are actively cared for.
2026-09-14 | PNG to SVG vectorizer
New PNG to SVG tool traces a PNG, JPG, or WebP into a scalable SVG vector in a Web Worker on your device, with color, grayscale, and black and white modes plus a live side-by-side preview. Preset pages cover JPG to SVG, image to SVG, logo to SVG, line art to SVG, and an image vectorizer.
2026-07-07 | More AI clients and a cleaner search
The "Use this tool from AI agents" panels and the developer page now have a one-tap client picker with ready-to-paste setup for 15 MCP clients, including VS Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed, Continue, Gemini CLI, JetBrains, Warp, Goose, LibreChat, and the OpenAI Agents SDK. Searching the homepage now tucks the Favorites and Recents shelves aside so your results show first.
2026-07-07 | Automation and shortcuts
Universal smart paste on the homepage search and the Cmd or Ctrl+K palette: paste a JWT, JSON, cron line, color, UUID, and more, and it routes you to the right tool preloaded, detected locally. A "Send to" button on tool outputs chains one tool into the next.
2026-07-07 | Developer API and npm package
The @clean-tools/mcp package is published on npm, and the MCP server is listed in the MCP registry. 23 tools are callable as a REST API and MCP server. A new developer page has copy-ready setup for Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor, plus a REST quickstart.
2026-07-06 | Premium redesign
A cohesive new look across every page, a new brand mark, refined light and dark themes, and an "Use this tool from AI agents" panel on the tools that have an engine.
2026-07-06 | API and MCP server launched
The tool engines went live as a REST API at api.clean.tools and an MCP server at mcp.clean.tools.
2026-07-06 | Reliability and new tools
A large correctness pass across roughly 30 tools (cron, APR, time value of money, regex, JSON, image handling, and more), plus dark mode, a command palette, favorites and recents, a PDF suite, OCR, HEIC to JPG, an SQL formatter, and offline support so the tools keep working with the network off.
Earlier
Dozens of image, text, developer, finance, time, and fun tools launched, all running entirely in the browser.
